October Sharing Time: "Choose the Right" Game Board
This sharing time will engage the children in an activity that will teach them to follow Heavenly Father’s plan by choosing the right.

Preparation:
Prepare a game board by dividing a poster into four columns and five rows. The top row should have the following categories: Sabbath Day, Media, My Body is a Temple, and Good Friends. In the rows below each category write the clues found in the presentation below. For junior primary you could include a picture if desired. Place a card or piece of paper (numbered 1 through 4) over each clue.

Presentation:
Have a child choose a category and a number. Remove the card to reveal the clues underneath. Read it. Have the child decide what the clues are describing (they may need some prompting at first to get the idea). If it is a song, have the child help lead it.

Sabbath Day:
1. Clean the house, have a bath, wash your hair, get your clothes ready. (Things we do on Saturday, to get ready for Sunday.)
2. Go to the store, work, play soccer. (Things we should not do on Sunday.)
3. Go to Church, visit family members, rest, read, write letters. (Things we should do on Sunday.)
4. Sing, “Saturday,” Children’s Songbook, 196.

Media:
1. Good books, “G” movies, scriptures. (Things we should read or see.)
2. Sing, “The Wise Man and the Foolish Man,” Children’s Songbook, 281.
3. Tabernacle Choir CD, music with good lyrics, songs that make you feel peaceful. (Things we should listen to.)
4. Movies or TV shows that are mean, use bad language, or show people dressed immodestly. (Things we should not watch.)

My Body is a Temple:
1. Tattoos, body piercing, immodest clothes. (Things we should not wear.)
2. Sing, “The Lord Gave Me a Temple,” Children’s Songbook, 153.
3. Shirts, pants, and dresses that cover our bodies. (Things we should wear.)
4. Fruit, vegetables, bread, milk. (Things that are good for our bodies.)

Good Friends:
1. Shoving, calling them names, teasing. (How we should not treat others.)
2. Include them when you play, share toys and treats. (How we should treat others.)
3. Sing, “Things I Do,” Children’s Songbook, 170 or “I’ll Walk With You,” Children’s Songbook, 140.
4. People who are kind, encourage me to do my best, and respect my values (Who we should choose as friends.)

Testify that by keeping the Sabbath holy, choosing good things to watch and read, keeping our bodies pure, and choosing good friends we can choose the right. Choosing the right is how we follow Heavenly Father’s plan.
